-"Yuzen is world's best dyeing skill and pride for me."

What inspired you to take up Yuzen?
-"Painting was what I like to do most, and I thought I want to carry my thought through Japanese traditional Kimono."

What do you carry through your products?
-"I turn the best ancient skill to account and incorporate new thing, and I want to carry my thought, history, atmosphere and skill that can express by only Yuzen."

Do you have persistence of your Yuzen?
-"I make necessarily products by my hand."
-"I express my mind and traditional things in straight and sometimes amorphously."

Jakuchou Ito had studied Kano painting in Kyoto where he was born as the son of a rich merchant. He became famous as a painter and printmaker of exotic birds and of Buddhist subjects. He did not studyed Kano painted skill and started to study So-gen painted. After that, he did not studyed So-gen painted and started painting from real nature. But His design is hardly painting from real nature. His design is things painted from nature through his feeling.
